The ergoCentric tCentric Chair Review

This is a one-year review of the ergoCentric tCentric chair.
I've been using the ergoCentric tCentric Hybrid ergonomic office chair with the fully upholstered back and seat for over a year now, sometimes for long work-from-home sessions (8+ hours most days), and I absolutely love it. This Canadian-made chair features a supportive padded backrest and cushioned seat, and it's held up incredibly well—no creaks, no wear on the fabric, and it still feels as solid and comfortable as day one. If you're spending serious time at a desk, this chair is a game-changer for comfort and posture. What stands out most is the insane level of adjustability, which is why it fits me perfectly and has kept back pain at bay even after extended use. Here's what I've appreciated the most:

-
Seat pan depth adjustment: Easy slider that lets you customize how far the seat extends, preventing pressure on the back of your thighs or feeling like you're sliding forward.
-
Adjustable fixed angle between seat pan and backrest: This independent back angle control allows an open hip angle for better posture—super useful for avoiding that cramped feeling.
-
Dynamic recline (Multi-Tilt feature): Smooth, tension-adjustable rocking with infinite lock positions. It encourages movement without being too loose or stiff.
-
Lumbar support: The air lumbar system is brilliant—you pump it up for more depth/firmness or release for less. Combined with height adjustment, it cradles your lower back exactly where needed. This has been a lifesaver for all-day sitting.
-
Seat back height adjustment: A full 5 inches of infinite positioning raises the entire backrest, keeping upper back support aligned no matter your torso length.
-
Headrest: Fully adjustable in height, depth, and angle—pivots nicely for reclining without straining your neck.
-
Armrests: The Height, Lateral & Swivel (TCL360) arm rests are amazing—height, width (lateral), and 360-degree swivel. These are an upgrade but well worth the cost. They stay out of the way when typing but provide perfect arm support when needed. Most ergonomic task chair arm rests do not have this level of adjustability. The adjustability of these arm rests allows the user to support the arms by the forearm, so that you can avoid resting your elbows on the arm rests or the wrists on the work surface (the elbows and wrists are very delicate and prone to injury, whereas the forearm is better equipped to hold the weight of the arm).

After a year, the triple-density foam seat and padded back remain plush yet firm (no sagging), providing excellent all-around cushioning and support. Everything adjusts just as smoothly as new. It's built like a tank, with a generous warranty that gives peace of mind. Overall, 5/5 stars—I like this chair a lot (understatement!). Highly recommended for anyone wanting a highly customizable, durable ergonomic chair that excels in long-term comfort with full upholstered support.
